Thinking of all my GP colleagues from
minority ethnic or international backgrounds delivering much needed care in all communities against the backdrop of this appalling violence criminality and racism I pray you stay safe. Remember our society really values you @rcgp_ni

@goldstone_tony Tony, the video mentions that HMRC are only aware of the AA tax paid via scheme pays?
What about the money paid from personal accounts before it became advantageous to use scheme pays to offset LTA?
Keep reading health experts (who are far removed from clinical work) say we need to keep people out of hospital.
Everybody needs hospital eventually.
We have just delayed it by 10/15 yrs due to new meds etc.
Well done to our clinical lead for Vasectomy Dr Joe Devlin. A superb example of how a service that was historically delivered in secondary care can be delivered more efficiently, more cost effective and more convenient for patients in primary care.
As part of a public consultation the Department of Health is asking for your views on the development of a new specialist obesity treatment service.

As a straightforward GP can I say well done to @J_Donaldson_MP . The pressure and the personal toll must be huge.
It won’t be easy, but let’s all work together to recover an NHS that we can be proud of, the opportunity is there.
Refer to memory services in the west! 1-2 yr waiting list. I thought yesterday that a good proportion of these people will probably die before diagnosis. Try arranging a care package without a diagnosis. New cutting edge treatments. We can’t get people diagnosed!!!
In NI the choice is simple, go on NHS list and wait many years, or go privately.
I have direct personal experience of this with a family member very recently, never mind being the referrer more often, and it is utterly disgraceful
So happy today that we will 🤞 see a return to government in NI, and an end to the ongoing stagnation in service delivery.
Political leadership can’t be easy and credit to the leaders.
