@martinrev21 Stone age, but opportunistic... if the LNP polling people think it will resonate, they will tell those lies... for them, being back in power to enable their corporate mates is more important than representing the people, and environment, of this country in th best possible way.
My fear is that the LNP will campaign on "lower immigration" only to return it to the dangerous & excessive pre-Albo levels,
... thus locking in the Big Australia agenda for another term of office- only this time claiming a mandate!

@tilly64 No ideas of their own, so just throw the housing market open to 'market forces' and hope foreign investors don't crap on us (which they will)...
Why are o/s students really here?
Is it to access work in Australia & one day obtain residency?
Do most come with no intentional of returning?
The qualification obtained here will not result in an income in their home country to justify such expense.
Renewable energy is completely dependent on fossil fuels, land use change emissions, loss of carbon uptake, ecosystem fragmentation, all multiplied due to mining & massive overbuild & extra HV transmission, causes increase in balancing FF emissions. Catastrophic as well.
If an economy is about delivering what the people need.
& if the economy shrinks (aka "recession") in harmony with population shrinkage,
then surely we can lower our ecological footprint without degrading quality of life?
Perhaps even find a better, less materialistic life?
Don't be a hypocrite!
If you want to say Australia must share it's wealth with ever growing millions.
Then you must also declare your support for p/capita decline for all Australians... especially the poor.
The pie is finite.
Net overseas migration must be lowered below the nation’s capacity to build housing and infrastructure.
Otherwise, the housing shortage will become permanent, locking young Australians out of homes to purchase or rent.

@BigEcavin The deadliest of many species is often the female... did she get that bear into divorce court, or just took matters into her own hands when he stopped responding to her calls...?
@Goldnmyear @climate_kev1 It was during Covid too, but it showed just what people can be like... even the end of days will be dysfunctional for many...
"If the media covered climate change the way it covers Trump, and Trump the way it covers climate change, we'd have neither".
The facts as they are.
The media has it's priorities all wrong.
Isn't it time our global media learned what responsibility to the public means...???
Next month I make my last child support payment. I have paid it on time each month for the last 17 years.
I have no idea if my son knows this but if he does know I pay child support, I am certain he has been told I pay very little b/c my ex likes playing the role of super mom.
Is anyone rise else fed up with men often being falsely/irrationally accused of misogyny
Highlighting adversities men face: misogyny
Challenging the dehumanisation of men: misogyny
Criticising a point made by women: misogyny
These are often bigoteering attempts to silence us
