In this episode of the Dead Presbyterians Society, we explore J.J. Janeway’s classic work Meditations on the Lord’s Supper. Drawing from Scripture and the Westminster Larger Catechism, Janeway guides believers in reverent self-examination, joyful communion with Christ, and renewed obedience after coming to the Table. This past Friday we rejoiced as another class completed their training. These men have labored to present themselves to God as workmen who have no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
May the Lord now send them forth to shepherd His flock with faithfulness, feeding the church of God which He obtained with His own blood (Acts 20:28). We give thanks for His kindness in raising up such servants.
Pray for them as they begin their ministries.
Grateful to the Lord for the men who completed their training with us this past Friday. May they walk worthy of the calling they have received — grounded in Scripture, shaped by confessional fidelity, and devoted to Christ’s church.
Pray for them as they serve in pulpits and mission fields.
This past Friday, we celebrated the graduation of another class of men equipped and sent out for faithful gospel ministry. May the Lord strengthen them as they shepherd His people with truth, courage, and love. We give thanks for His faithfulness.
At this year’s luncheon, we are looking forward to sitting down with Ian Hamilton and asking him some questions about a long-term ministry, reflecting on a lifetime of faithful service in Christ’s church. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of a new edition of Morton Smith’s Harmony of the Westminster Confession and Catechisms. Seating is limited; we encourage you to register soon.
