Like the professor says, when you are measuring 1.5 deg from pre-industrial, and most of your readings have an error of >2 deg, that's an error band of 4 deg. It means that your uncertainty is bigger than your measurement, which therefore may not exist. ->

@DrJStrategy In the end, instead of a German Europe, one half was occupied by the Anglo-Saxon order (to this day), while the other half occupied by communism. So very debatable how better off Europe was as whole post WWII..
