Following inspections and the snow /ice with no improvement expected before Saturday, we have cancelled Bromley parkrun on 3rd January 2026
This will appear on the cancellation list and our website shortly

Our volunteers have been out already (thank you!🙏) to check the weather conditions on the course and, despite the sunshine, there are still large amounts of ice covering several sections of the path, and runners falling as they watched…..⬇️
❄️ EVENT CANCELLATION ❄️
Sadly, tomorrow’s Sunny Hill parkrun is CANCELLED due to icy paths and unsafe conditions, with sub-zero temperatures forecast overnight and into the morning.
Safety comes first.Hopefully we’ll be back next week when it’s thawed out. Stay warm;take care!
Due to cold weather conditions and ice, tomorrow's Southwark parkrun has been cancelled - apologies if this causes inconvenience, the "real feel" temperature of as low as -9° first thing in the morning could put the safety of volunteers and runners at risk.
See you next time!
Sadly, like many other parkruns, we are cancelling tomorrow's run (3 Jan) due to icy conditions.
Please do not turn up tomorrow. Check alternative runs before you head out as other runs may cancel at short notice.
Hopefully we'll see you next week.

COURSE CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT … next weekend (31st May) we MOVE TO OUR FESTIVAL ROUTE COURSE … please spread the word … we will be on this route all through the summer … start point in the middle of the park near the large playground. See you next week.
UPDATE - Regretfully we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s parkrun. Our course has tree coverage at points where we need marshals. The predicted gusts of winds raises concerns about the duty of care we have to our kind volunteers. Stay safe. Thank-you.
Can you believe we are turning 13 years old this Saturday? There could well be 🎂🧁 to prove it (all baking efforts very welcome).
And look how we’ve grown: come and see a teenage Gunnersbury parkrun in action - Halloween attire optional but always entertaining!
👻🎃💀
If using the E3 bus 🚌 tomorrow - please note it is on diversion and not stopping near the park due to the festival event - and we remind you to allow extra time getting to the start ... take care … see you tomorrow!
👀 Dear parkrunners 👫 PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME ⏰ getting to the start of the ‘festival’ route tomorrow and the next few weeks. The latest event has new fencing reducing access 🚷… plus there are likely to be vehicles 🚛 moving about in other areas of the park - pls take care 👍
Hello hello … we’d love some help Saturday delivering the next edition of your local weekly event … if you can help in any way drop us an email at [email protected] and we’ll get you on the roster (if it’s you first time we’ll explain all - it’s great fun) 🙌🙌 Thankyou
Hi wonderful people - would anyone be able to help deliver this Saturday's parkrun event? We have a few key slots still to fill.
If you can, please let us know with your Athlete ID (best if can email [email protected]).
Many thanks - it is very much appreciated 😘
Sorry we didn’t look like we normally do today - we were locked out of our storage, so had some last minute adapting to do. Luckily we had AED access & tokens. With some bartering with the fab @PuttinthePark for a loan of kit and we were set! See our Insta for the full story.
Ok - as of 5pm today - all systems go for tomorrow. Your volunteer team will be completing the mandatory Event Day course check at around 8.15am and unless there are any last minute surprises - we are on.
