The Grameen Foundation is launching MANDI-II with a $2 million grant from the Walmart Foundation.

This project aims to empower smallholder farmers, especially women, in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal by strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). In the first phase, the project achieved successes like increased women's participation, adoption of agricultural technologies, and improved market connections.

MANDI-II plans to engage 50 FPOs, targeting 40% women farmers, and aims to reach 35,000 farmers. It focuses on increasing farmer incomes, enhancing FPO governance, and promoting sustainable agriculture.

This initiative addresses challenges faced by small farmers and promotes their resilience and livelihoods.
