In DT today, Maple class were researching the cost of sandwich ingredients from different supermarkets 🥪

In DT today, we created flow charts to show the manufacturing process of bread 🍞

Maple class enjoyed learning the notes to a new song on the glockenspiels today 🎶

In English today, we were finding the features of a balanced argument. Our model text argument is ‘Are video games good for children?’ Are you for or against? 🎮👾

Yesterday @GRPAMaple really enjoyed having a workshop from @PariThomson where she shared her new book #GreenwildTheCityBeyondTheSea, and the inspiration behind the story. We can’t wait to start our class copy of the book! Thanks to @Our_Bookshop and @Mr_Ladyman_AHT for arranging!

Today in @GRPAMaple we published our poems that we have worked hard to write the rest of the week. The children worked hard to use their neatest handwriting and present work that they were proud of.

During English today, we picked out features from the poem The Magic Box by Kit Wright and had a go at explaining why the author chose to use those features. 🪄 📦

Today, in English, we have been creating word banks filled with excellent vocabulary to use in our writing next week! We used a range of tools to help us, including the thesaurus' and the #Descriptosaurus

We learnt about how we can stay safe online today in our Online Safety Workshop. We spoke about the positives and negatives of being online and how we can get help if we need it #onlinesafety 💻

We welcomed Gareth Lane into Maple class this afternoon. We learnt about the different ways the church supports our local community.

To celebrate Earth Week, we designed sustainable clothes using pieces of fabric from old clothing 🧵👚🪡

This afternoon, we were working on our underarm throwing and catching in our new PE unit rounders. 🏏

We have been exploring sculptures in art this afternoon by researching different sculptures throughout history and discussing their similarities and differences 🎨

We all had a fantastic first day back in Maple class today! In science, we worked in tables to create posters about the life cycles of different animal groups and then presented them to the class. #curiouscurtis 🐸🐶🐔🦋

As it is the last day of term before the Easter Holiday's - many of our children have taken part in the egg painting competition organised by the @pta_green - I'm sure you'll all agree that they are 'eggstremely' awesome! Great job @GRPAMaple

We focused on spellings today, during our SPaG lesson. After learning the meanings and origin of some of the words, we put them into sentences. ✏️
