❗Toei Company has launched Toei Games!

A new label marking its entry into the video game business, with an initial focus on PC titles for Steam and later expansion to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.

The Japanese group said the new division will develop entirely original intellectual properties rather than games based on existing Toei franchises, positioning gaming as a new strategic pillar alongside film, television and events. The first title is set to be announced on April 24. Toei also said the Toei Games logo was designed by Kairosoft, which created a pixel-art version of the company’s iconic “Waves on the Rough Shore” opening sequence.

A Disney extraction shooter is reportedly in development at Epic Games, according to Bloomberg

It will feature Disney characters battling enemies and extracting similar to Arc Raiders

The United States Patent and Trade Office has revoked a patent it granted Nintendo last year, which covered summoning characters to make them battle on the player's behalf.

Nintendo can now appeal the decision if it chooses.
