Shout out to Adelaide! 💛 Her Gold Award project GenBridge connected high school students to a neighboring senior living home to create intergenerational connections and address the rise in loneliness in senior living homes and the decline of mental health in teens.
Shout out to Denica! 💚 For her project, Denica revamped the flower beds at a local rehabilitation center. She also created additional seating for residents. She says, "This Gold Award helped me remember that fixing something can make a big impact on someone else's life."
Shout out to Sofia! 💛 Sofia's Gold Award project addressed the lack of student-centered suicide prevention education at her school. She developed and led a sustainable, student-led peer-support program and introduced formal training for other students.
Sometimes receiving cookies is more than it appears. Congratulations Ainsley! 💚 She noticed a lack of awareness in her city on Indigenous history and how this history continues to impact Indigenous communities to this day. To change this, Ainsley created an interactive museum exhibit at a library about local Indigenous history. 📖
