@JustElexMaps Simon Bolivar somehow managed to fit in stints as President of Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Venezuela.
Garibaldi was a member of the Piedmontese Parliament and later the Italian Parliament.
Whether either was elected, or just grabbed the position by force, I don't know.
Great news for the Wixams campaign for a GP surgery.
This shows what can be achieved when we act collectively, as a community.
Now let's get on and build it!

@simonmontefiore The ending was really poor and disappointing. Also, there's no way the President would have only had the guy with the codes with him in Marine 1. He'd be surrounded by advisors (and more likely in Airforce 1).
I don't often post personal stuff, but this is a bit special.
After almost 22 years together Barry and I finally got round to having a Civil Union ceremony last week in Aruba.
It was a really great day and I am a very lucky guy to have met someone as fantastic as him. 🥂🍾
Celebrating the news that Universal Studios is coming to Bedford Borough and specifically to the Stewartby & Kempston Hardwick Parish within Wixams & Wilstead ward.

I'm delighted by today's announcement that Universal Studios is coming to Bedford and to Wixams & Wilstead ward.
I think it's a real opportunity for local jobs, infrastructure and growth and it should ensure that we get a bigger, better Wixams Station.

Attended the @BedfordTweets Civic Carol Service at St Mary's Church, Wootton earlier today, with the Council Speaker Cllr John Wheeler and Mayor Tom Wootton, alongside other Councillors, Alderman and civic leaders.
Carols makes it feel like Christmas has actually arrived!
Just back from site visit to Wixams Station with @Tom4Change@Cllr_Marc_Frost + Cllr Andrea Spice, arranged by Network Rail + @BedfordTweets officers.
ETA for station is late 2026 - seriously delayed, but better late than never. Let's hope the trains are more punctual!
Rather than standing up for their constituents in Parliament today, Labour MPs turned their backs on farmers.
A government led by tin-eared socialist metropolitan elites is pushing on, but with colleagues I will keep fighting for our rural communities.

What a truly terrible decision. The kind of people who vote in favour of this are usually the same kind who are so vehemently against capital punishment.
What kind of society have we become when we have people in our Parliament willing to kill the innocent yet protect murderers?
It was evident that EWR have kept Bedford in the dark about how every Bedfordian will feel the impact of the East West Rail construction project. The EWR maps and the BFARe analysis can be found on our web site.
An honour to again lay a wreath on the war memorial in Wilstead this morning, on behalf of the Borough Council.
As always, it was incredibly moving to hear the names of the fallen read out, recalling that some had died over 100 years ago.

It is an honour and a privilege to have been elected to lead our great Conservative Party. A party that I love, that has given me so much.
I’d also like to pay tribute to @RobertJenrick who fought a great campaign. I have no doubt he will have a key role to play in our party for many years to come.
Thank you to all the members who have put their faith in me.
It is time to get down to business.
It is time to renew.
Fantastic news. Pleased to have voted for her.
We now go forward and take on this dreadful Labour Government, and prepare to return to office at the next election.
Whilst both candidates have run good campaigns and both have strong merits, I have today cast my vote for @KemiBadenoch to be the new Leader of the @Conservatives Party.
Our party needs fundamental change if it is to be elected back into Government swiftly.

Two days after Israel is attacked directly by Iran, Labour have put our vital base in the Indian ocean at risk.
Anyone who has been paying attention to the geopolitical climate will understand the strategic necessity of these islands. Labour has either not been paying attention or don’t care.
Either way, this decision weakens UK influence across the world.
