Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful students, staff and families. All the best for a wonderful 2025. We will open again in the New Year on Monday 6th January.
This week we have all been making Christmas Wishes and in the New Year we will grant one for a lucky student. Evie S Yr8 wins our Christmas competition, correctly guessing that the elf was called 'Buddy'. She wins a chocolate Santa, well done. Happy Christmas from the library!
Well done to our wonderful Year 10 Photographers who have been working on some fantastic creative projects with the residents of Eccles Grange. One student is working with a retired Photographer, creating a painting from his photographs.
Lewis is our lucky winner of two tickets to Rugby's Magic Weekend held at STJ in May. Well done Lewis- hope you get a great match! One more day to go- who will be in to win?
Year 10 had a fantastic time @LPCreperie. They practise their speaking and listening skills as they chatted in French to our host, Julien. Everyone asked a question in French and ordered a crêpe. Special mention to Joseph for his Christmas spirit ( hat!) and devouring 2 crêpes!!
The Year 10 Construction students ran a brilliant their Christmas Craft Fair today as part of their Occupational Studies Unit. The boys were polite, personable and everything they had made and sold was beautiful. Great work lads!!
Some of our Year 8 students joined all other schools in North Tyneside for the Girls Games Association celebration event to encourage our young ladies to embrace their differences and their strengths. We all had so much fun!
Year 7 Annabelle was our lucky winner today of the 12 days of Christmas competition. She has a voucher for free cake and drink courtesy of Sands of Tyne in Forest Hall.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for their very generous donations to @TheBayFoodbank Sadly, there has been a 30% increase in demand on last year and a drop in donations, so what you've all done will make a big difference for struggling individuals and families.
Some of the hearts that our School of Sanctuary students created are now on display in the Baltic! The exhibition, entitled 'we all came here from somewhere' runs until February and is on level 2.
Yr7 pupils had a fantastic day at Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children's Books on Wed. They workshopped their own stories, explored the exhibitions and got to view priceless original illustrations and manuscripts. Thanks to Olivia and team for making us feel so welcome
Hope you caught the broadcast on Tyne Tees News last night! Well done to our students for their work on such an important issue. Huge thank you to @FoundFutureNE and @workietickettc for making this happen.
We had an amazing night on Tuesday singing and dancing to our favourite Taylor Swift songs in the library. We made friendship bracelets and tree decorations and finished all the sweets and popcorn! Happy Swiftmas!
Our students created a speech on safety concerns for young women which featured in the Police Commissioner's Reclaim the Night speech. The quality of their speech drew media attention from Tyne Tees, Metro Radio, and Hitz Radio! Catch them on ITV tonight at 6.00pm!
Huge Congratulations to Mya in year 8 who competed at the Trampolining Regional School's Competition on Saturday and came in second place in her category. She has qualified for the next round of the competition which is the zonal schools in January 2025.
