The members of our National Junior Honor Society completed their service project at the Gulf Stream School Delray Beach Campus last week. Engaging in a campus beautification project, our students replanted and enhanced the Bell Garden.
Recently, the 5th grade took a field trip to the Wakodahatchee Wetlands. The Wetlands are a man-made habitat where over 100 bird species have been spotted. The students explored the wetlands and took time to identify wood storks, white egrets, herons, and moorhens.

Our 8th graders took part in Valentine's Day festivities with a Monster Speed Dating activity! The students received a monster with a variety of genetic traits, and then they crossed their monsters' traits and completed Punnett squares to predict the traits of their offspring.

On Sunday, February 4, Gulf Stream School hosted the Palm Beach County MATHCOUNTS Competition. The competition was organized by volunteers from the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society. About 100 students from 10 schools participated.
