Being Black and poor in America should not be crimes punishable by vigilante death. Jordan Neely did not just deserve to live. He deserved to live a better life than what our society decided to afford him. We are devastated by his loss. @AAPolicyForum's full statement:

One thing I'd say for those of us who are more theologically inclined. We need to beat the heretics at practical love. I know we say “teaching sound doctrine is loving.” But sometimes that's seems to be the extent of it. I’ve been in some of the most theologically “sound” spaces and the practical love was cringy. Weak in generosity, angry, critical, and in some cases racist. On the other hand, I’ve been in less theologically driven spaces and the practical love was off the charts. Both can learn from each other…

So Don Lemon got fired for … doing his job?
A ✌🏾presidential candidate✌🏾that says the NRA helped Black people secure their rights deserved to be called out for lying. Not to mention that asinine characterization of the Civil War.
Trauma does not heal apart from being spoken and it needs to be heard in the context of a safe relationship where the dignity of the one crushed is restored.

Not knocking wealth building, but I wonder is our culture building more bosses than servants. I know someone is gonna comment “why not both?” Some of our attempts to counterbalance is really a sign of compromise. Things that make you go 🤔
