🚨 Eddie Howe set to remain Newcastle United boss. As things stand + barring unexpected turn of events 48yo will lead #NUFC into 26/27 - retains ownership/hierarchy support & keen to continue. All parties accept this season can’t be repeated @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/KCu67KER8n
@JackStanley86@GianfrancoShoIa At this point, they are the same.
You can’t seriously look at one win and say “this team selection is vindicated”
It was a better performance, I’m happy we won. But it’s clear as day this isn’t sustainable or likely to change
This sort of attitude continues to make me uneasy. Glad for the win, but we were luckier than good today.
If we lose players like Nick and Hall to this kind of mentality, we’re never going anywhere as a club.
🚨 Eddie Howe on his team selection:
🗣️ “I went with players I can really trust and can handle the pressure.
I’m not picking the team on emotion, I’m picking the team to win the game.
“I wanted pace up front with Osula and Willock, and I wanted height in the team too.”
#NUFC
@CraigHope_DM Is Howe playing to be sacked (and keep his payout)?
Is he putting players in the shop window?
Or does he truly believe this is his best XI?
@SkySports_Keith@MagpieMediaX@toonmadmag I’d also like to draw attention to Eddie’s role in all that. Some truly bizarre management decisions, stubborn subs.
His comments have become increasingly detached from what we see on the pitch. The latest answer on Hall/Burn is extremely frustrating
@emtoh@Xerses47@AlexanderPayton I’ll also cede the institutional consistency point, absolute bull in china shop
I’m not a trade expert, but it seems like there is a bit of protectionism trump is rebelling against
Euro security policy is the main point I’m arguing. It has been both naive and cowardly
