The median age of first-time homebuyers in America:
- 1991: 27
- 2010: 30
- 2020: 33
- 2022: 36
- 2024: 38
- 2025: 40
Americans are delaying everything:
getting married
having kids
buying a home
A handful of smart policies could reverse this trend:
1. No federal income taxes until age 30.
2. Tax incentives for builders to construct affordable 3-bed/2-bath starter homes.
3. Stop printing money to bailout poorly ran companies. Let failing companies fail.
4. Celebrate young families. Turn people who get married and have kids into cultural heroes. Replace “Pride Month” with Young Family Pride Month. Heterosexual couples who procreate should be honored. This shouldn’t be controversial.
5. Teach real personal finance, investing, and taxes starting in junior high. Our schools are failing at this.
America needs to get its priorities straight.
The future success of 🇺🇸 depends on how well we build an economy that works for the next generation.
We’ve got work to do
Poor people suffer. Rich people suffer. Single people suffer. Married people suffer. Entrepreneurs suffer. Employees suffer.
Suffering is a fixed cost of life.
So pick a life worth suffering for.
@FefeDemeny@milesdeutscher Short term bounce soon. Get everyone super bullish. Then drop the hammer and I am afraid lower in August. But we show up everyday and take what we can 💯
