Chelsea fans need to stop expecting every new manager to perform miracles overnight.

Luis Enrique struggled in his first 9 games at PSG. Imagine that happening at Chelsea. Twitter would have demanded his sacking immediately.

Arsenal went from conceding for fun with David Luiz and co. to becoming one of Europe’s best defensive teams.

Even PSG are conceding goals again, yet nobody is acting like the project is finished.

At Chelsea, one bad run and suddenly the manager is clueless, the players are useless and everything needs to be torn down.

These defenders are NOT proven.

Alonso cannot know every weakness in this squad immediately. You move into the house, wait for the rain, find the leaks and then fix the roof.

Give him the season to identify who stays, who goes and what he needs to bring in.
