https://t.co/ScGQu9keLL is now live, our new website bringing interactive maps, guides, and completion tracking to the GTA series as the companion site to our https://t.co/Z4AJZLeyJr channel.
Optimized for desktop and mobile, the site covers GTA 1, GTA 2, London 1969 and 1961, the GTA trilogy, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, Advance, Chinatown Wars, GTA IV and both episodes, GTA V, and GTA Online.
Features include:
- Detailed maps: Day and night satellite views for each game, radar maps, and street names for GTA IV and GTA V. The GTA trilogy includes both Original and Definitive Edition maps, while Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars include PS2\PSP and mobile (Android/iOS) maps. Cayo Perico is also available for GTA Online, with North Yankton included for both GTA V and GTA Online.
- Precise locations: Precise coordinates for missions, collectibles, routes, and points of interest. You can also enter custom coordinates and share direct links to exact locations.
- 100% completion tracking: Mark objectives as completed, fill your progress bar, and see what's missing. Achievement tracking and cheat lists for each game's platforms are also included.
- Screenshots, descriptions, and video guides: Find an objective, follow our walkthrough, and track your progress.
- The GTA Online page is updated daily, covering Hidden Caches, Treasure Chests, Time Trials, and more, with daily and weekly rotations that can be filtered.
- The GTA Online Live Tracker shows available activities, countdowns, in-game time, and weather, helping you catch limited-time Halloween activities before they leave. Our Discord server also keeps you informed about daily activities and updates.
We're continuing to add features, screenshots, guides, and map styles. And GTA VI is next: once it's available, we plan to bring Vice City and Leonida the same detailed maps, precise locations, video guides, and completion tools.

So shipped to retailers on Oct 22, but released and sold on October 23.
Happy 25th anniversary to Grand Theft Auto III!
Released on October 23, 2001, GTA III brought the series into 3D and changed gaming forever. Liberty City set a new standard for open-world games, giving players a level of freedom that helped define an entire generation.
Looking back with Rockstar's official 10th anniversary video, originally released in 2011.
@GTAcomua Yeah it's weird. Rockstar lists October 22 for some reason, but the game was released on October 23 and there are even "10/23: In Stores Now" announcements from 2001. So there's evidence for the 23rd beyond it being a Tuesday.

Sorry about that. I found that street map online and used it as a reference for the street names, but couldn't find the original author and honestly thought it was official. I've now added credit to our Credits page (you can find that at the bottom of every map page). Thanks for letting me know, and sorry for missing that.
I didn't use the PSD itself - didn't know it existed. I recreated the street names manually from a smaller image found online, one by one, which took quite a while given the size of the map. Your map was still a helpful reference, and you deserve credit for that.
Thanks for the feedback on the location names too. I'll move those to a separate overlay so users can toggle street names and locations independently, or have both visible.
We had a lot of fun experimenting with the Rockstar Content Creator for our two Halloween missions. Here's a look at how some of it works behind the scenes.
In "The Chiliad Anomaly" - https://t.co/CofRy61fNG - a few things change based on your actions. At the beginning, the keycard is carried by one of three scientists, with the choice determined by where you land your boat on the beach.
For the midair jetpack spawn, we chained teleports during cutscenes. Players are moved into position, enter their jetpacks, then teleport again during the cutscene so they appear already flying when gameplay resumes.
The ending depends on the alien rescue. Save all five aliens and you get the good ending. Lose even one, and the survivors turn against you, leading to a final showdown.
The Chiliad Mural also reflects the outcome: when it's shown at the end, only the lights corresponding to the aliens you saved will blink.
Our second mission, "House Hunting" - https://t.co/hBqiZhVt0T - looks straightforward, but there's quite a bit happening behind the scenes to make each playthrough less predictable.
Hidden fights between NPCs act as randomizers. Their outcomes determine which of two sets of four TV screens appears, which of two fireplaces you'll need to search, and which of two upstairs locations will hold the key. The stalking figures also change positions to match the selected locations.
The Watcher has its own setup: three possible initial hiding spots, followed by three possible hiding spots for its next appearance. Your movement through the house determines which ones are used.
All of this is handled by using and reusing flags and activation zones. Finding ways to build these systems with the tools available was a big part of the fun. The Creator feels promising, and we enjoyed exploring what it can do.
Here's our second Halloween mission, "House Hunting"! 🎃
Trapped in a house with no clear way out, you'll have to solve puzzles while mysterious figures stalk you in this escape room-style nightmare. Best experienced in first-person.

This project wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of @GTAMapsTobi, who designed and built the website and its infrastructure with additional help from @Floorball__ and @logan_mcgeeee.
Thanks also to the people at @GTAWikiOfficial; @TexFunz2 and @WildBrick142 for their contributions, and to @GTAGFX for the fantastic work vectorizing the radar maps and icons.
