Welsh Water update: The boil water notice has now been lifted with immediate in Penrhys, Maerdy, Blaenllechau, Pontygwaith, Stanleytown, Tylorstown, Ferndale, Pentre, Wattstown, Ynyshir, Ystrad.

They now say they are in Phase 4 of their recovery process – water quality testing.
This is a critical step before the boil water notice can be lifted. They are carrying out extensive sampling and testing across the affected area.
