He didnβt open with one but jumping switch kicks were a huge part of the arsenal going into the 1st Holloway fight and were working quite well for Conor. Ironic how something that brought him so much success in 2013 cost him so dearly in the #UFC329 rematch.
People saying, "Conor is done, he should retire," should stop.
We have no idea what kind of condition Conor was in or whether he's truly back or washed. Nobody can take anything away from UFC 329 based on what happened.
Freak accidents happen, even to fighters who are in their prime and at the top of their game, for example, Pantoja.
It was an incredibly unlucky day for Conor. Hopefully, he comes back and gets the chance to show the level he's really at right now.
I'm not buying that McGregor was injured before the fight. Totally buying that he injured himself throwing a jumping kick a mile away from his target after five years away from fighting. That opening sequence from McGregor was absolutely and utterly ridiculous.
We will never get another Conor McGregor again many will try to replicate none will duplicate what heβs done the era of MMA was different at that timeβ¦. Itβs so unmatchable this as a fan and life long MMA Fan truly sucks so very bad I just canβt process it without the upset tears!!! Truly unforgiving sport trulyβ¦β¦β¦ #UFC329
