@JamesMelville That's my point. It's a stacked deck. The odds of anyone else cracking the semi-finals are bad. It's a world party,. but not a world cup. People talk about the U.S. not being competitive. We're as competitive as the rest of the world outside of the inner circle.
There is so much handwringing about the competitiveness of the USMNT, but really the USMNT is as competitive as the rest of the world outside Europe+2. The same teams always win the World Cup. It's a stacked deck. The USMNT did very well.
@LeahRay44 My time of year is coming up soon: College and NFL football. Thank God for the World Cup filling the void I usually experience this time of year, because I'm not a baseball fan.
@SkylarSkye3 Less common now. Most restaurants have the hand held devices where you tap or swipe the card and then a suggested tip screen pops up......then you sign with your finger
@SteveOnSpeed Don't be so negative. I watched matches when the World Cup was in Russia and Qatar regardless of time zone. Millions in the U.S. will watch. This World Cup has made it even more popular in the U.S.
@JamesMelville In the U.S. we are used to sports divas, individuals acting badly, but to see an entire team do it, with the approval of their coach, and on world-wide TV is inexcusable. FIFA should take drastic measures against Argentina to ensure that this does not happen again.
