@Libertyordaeth@volzack88@MatthewDillner When WGI paved it all, they could have done what many other tracks had done. Pave the runoff, but create a 6 to 10 ft strip of gravel/grass/turf on the backside of the exit curb.
Solves both problems. Running wide gets punished, usable pavement for emergencies.
@MatthewDillner If the runoff has been allowed to become the racing surface, where is the safety margin that the runoff is supposed to provide?
NASCAR "fixing" a problem of their own slackjawed making.
@tacoboutpics Unibodies limited the variety of bodies for a specific chassis, and the sedan = 4-doors became colloquial reference because most cars were being offered in only a 4-door version
@tacoboutpics Historically, no, sedan did not mean "4 doors".
You could have 2-door sedans, and you could have 4-door non-sedans. It was based on body configuration when there were still coach companies (like Fisher) that built bodies for OEs.
The onset of everything being unibody changed that
@horsepower Left-hand drive, so not remotely "authentic".
This is very likely a Chevy SS, converted using an imported ute carcas.
Not worth more than $40k in any realm in existence.
