Did something new this week! Added several vertical dry erase spaces for Ss to collaborate together during First Five number talks. I love that we are breaking the middle school mold and bring #mathworkshop and #buildingthinkingclassrooms to 6th grade!

It was a great day at Summer Soar! Ss went through the engineering design process to create safe egg dropping devices. @HanoverFireEMS1 brought the ladder truck to help us test them out. Winners went to round 2 (100 ft)! Thanks for making learning fun!

I was explaining to a friend some differences between an #ibpyp school & non IB ES school. I didn’t anticipate feeling nostalgic & missing that level of collaborative planning/instruction/reflection. Dusted off 1 of our last team planners as a 5th gr Tt 😍 Ibpyp is good stuff! 🤩
