🪜 Don’t walk under ladders — especially near power lines.
🐈‍⬛ Black cats are fine… unless they’re chewing on your extension cords.
🔌 Unplug your toaster before investigating weird noises.
🧤 Never run toward strange noises — especially near electrical panels.
📞 And if you get a phone call and creepy voice on the line asks, “Do you know where your breaker box is?” — hang up and call us instead.

As another band of storms is expected in to come through the area later this morning, they'll be prepared to response to any outages that might follow as well. All of our members are important, and during widespread outages, GVEC crews must prioritize restoring service to the greatest number of people first, starting with critical facilities like hospitals and water systems. Lineworkers face hazardous conditions, and safety is always the top priority for our teams and the public.
