@TunedIntoTennis The really wild stat is that only two Slam *titles* have been won by men born in the 90s. If there were an even distribution of titles by decade of birth, you’d expect 40.
@BlvdSubway So glad to see that I have (had?) some company in pushing for #4! Going to NYC from Center City shouldn’t require a trip across the Schuylkill.
@Chris_Gothner Agreed. But somehow that assessment, which makes sense for West Kendall, transfers over to the Beach, where I live—and where the bus service is very good. (Of course, it could be better, it could be light rail, etc. etc.)
This finding resonates with something that I, a regular rider on MDT, have experienced. I think the bus system here works quite well! But I find that non-riders have strong, negative impressions of the system, for some reason.
@MattNoahSmith The NEC runs pretty near to Long Island Sound, so getting to the West Side of Manhattan would require a sideways jag across the Bronx to meet the Hudson Line. Either way, it’s “doglegged.”
Last month, Surfside voted to present billionaire Ken Griffin with an honorary key.
The symbolic gesture appeared to come out of left field given his lack of ties to the small town. Turns out, it came at the request of the Miami-Dade League of Cities. https://t.co/RRTIl22qXm
