A humble request to international media colleagues: Please consider passing on the work to Myanmar journalists working in exile in Mae Sot instead of relying solely on inexperienced interns or newly recruited foreign journalists with little knowledge of the conflict and little or no access to resistance forces. While I understand the preference for English-speaking, easy-to-manage reporters on the ground, language shouldn’t be the sole criterion to report this conflict. DM if you want to be connected to Myanmar media houses and journalists working on the ground.
