Itโs terrifying that you think you did a good job. What planet are you living on? Itโs certainly not earth. We had hope when labour won the GE. You and your collegues crushed that quickly. Youโve made the SNP look good and they are horrendous. An impossible task, or so we thought, but you achieved it.
Itโs always a hard day on the 4th of July. 23 years passed today when the auld yin passed. Even harder when you spend all day today in Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy with a friend who had emergency life saving surgery. On a +note 25 yrs ago today I discovered I was to be a dad.
PLEASE SHARE. Boycott This Charity
This is utter madness and a kick in the teeth for the British homeless and the people of Britain who donated to this charity. @salvationarmy hold huge migrant days giving away food clothes phones and day trips. Absolute disgrace of a charity #StopTheBoats #IllegalMigration #ProtectOurChildren #SaveOurParks #SecureBorders #BritainFirst #EnoughIsEnough #ProtectBritain #FamilySafety #UKPolitics
TOWER BRIDGE, OPENED, BUILT BY GLASGOW COMPANY
On this day, 30 June in 1894, Tower Bridge was opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales (the future King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra).
It's steel superstructure was built by Sir William Arrol & Co of Dalmarnock, Glasgow. The same man and company who built the Forth Rail Bridge, 4 years earlier.
According to this article:
"Over 11,000 tons of steel provided the framework for the towers and walkways and all the components were made at Arrol's Dalmarnock Works in Glasgow, and shipped to London. Between 50 and 100 tons were sent by steamer each week to within 0.5 miles of the site where it was loaded onto barges to be transported to the bridge. Any components needed urgently were delivered by train.
"Each section had its rivet holes pre-drilled in Glasgow, to within 0.5 inch of their final diameter to allow for final adjustments to be made once the girder was in position. Arrol subcontracted the manufacture of the ornamental cast iron parapets and decorative panels for the upper walkways to Fullerton, Hodgart & Barclay, Paisley...
"Many of the workers at Tower Bridge had previously been engaged on other Arrol bridge constructions or were from the shipyards and experienced in working at heights. With time workmen would become indifferent to the danger but working in a confined space over a busy waterway they had to be careful not to drop rivets, materials or tools which could damage boats and injure people passing below.
"Over the summer of 1893, at the peak of construction, there were over 280 men and boys working on the steelwork. They worked in 2 independent teams, one on the north bank and one on the south bank, working an average of 56.5 hours a week, Monday to Saturday."

Here at AFFG, we love the fact that the two most iconic Bridges of the United Kingdom โ the Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland and Tower Bridge in London โ were built by a Glasgow company!
Tower Bridge was designed by Sir Horace Jones and Sir John Wolfe Barry (whose father Charles designed the Houses of Parliament).
Arrol was knighted in 1890, and was the Liberal Unionist MP for South Ayrshire from 1895-1906.
Thanks to the AFFG supporter who sent us this pic of Tower Bridge when he was at the 80th Anniversary commemoration of VE Day in May last year.

Possible EBOLA VIRUS outbreak in Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University hospital.
Remember when we didn't have to worry about fucking EBOLA VIRUS spreading in our hospitals?!
We are far away from Africa, we shouldn't have exotic illnesses here.
That's a ward "partially closed" so even less people will be receiving care, no doubt in serious conditions.
I hope everyone is ok and no one suffers from this.
Close the fucking borders
In 1982, Britain spent billions and sent a task force 8,000 miles across the Atlantic to defend British territory. In 2026, Labour is paying billions to give British territory away.
One government believed sovereignty was worth defending. The other appears to think sovereignty is something to be negotiated away.
I really do urge EVERYONE to follow The Nowhere Photographer. He's out there on the front line documenting this invasion for us at great personal risk.
His work is *extremely* important.
He's incredibly talented and a very nice guy.
Keep up the good work! ๐ฅ
@JohnSwinney When will you be addressing every female in and around Glasgow shit-scared that they will become the next rape/sexual assault victim in the City?
Humza last week: "It's disgusting to see politicians exploit the murder of Henry Nowak or the attempted beheading in Belfast to push a political agenda"
Humza this week: "lemme just exploit this"
