Federal taxes are due in one week. DC pays more federal taxes per capita than any state and more federal taxes than 21 states, yet DC residents have no voting representation in Congress.
It is long past time for the Senate to pass the House-passed #DCStatehood bill.
I'm guessing that most young voters agree that #DCStatehood is essential to the well-being of our gov't. 700K living in our nation's capital should have voting representation in Congress. Any stats to prove me right?

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has more trial court experience than any sitting Supreme Court justice. She’ll be only the 2nd sitting justice to have served in all 3 levels of the federal judiciary. And she’ll be the 1st former federal public defender & 1st Black woman on the Court.
As federal tax filing season kicks off today, I remind the American people DC pays:
✅More in federal taxes per capita than any state
✅More federal taxes overall than 21 states
Yet DC residents still don’t have voting representation in Congress. The remedy is #DCStatehood.
