@nvkyn@Tsarina_muna@nnamdichuks9 Honestly hope they don’t revoke the 5 yrs route. Considering how much int. students or those on SWV contribute to the economy, it’s unfair to them as they have no access to public funds. Meanwhile, Shabana wants the illegals.
@nnamdichuks9@Tsarina_muna Hi, so usually when you say benefits in the uk it often refers to UC or TC. In my later comment I asked if this was about public funds which includes welfare benefits, student finance, no NHS surcharge etc. I was only trying to understand her point.
Japa journeys are deeply personal and won’t always make sense to outsiders. My cousin got a scholarship for her MSc, went on to do a PhD, and she’s one of those brilliant people who genuinely enjoy studying, first class in Nigeria, engineering. When she had her first baby, I didn’t understand why she lived close to a UK hospital 🇬🇧 but still flew to the US 🇺🇸 to give birth. A few years later she moved to Canada, probably to be closer to her siblings in the US etc. Over 10 years now, she’s at the top of her career in environmental engineering. Everyone’s path is different.
A genuine question for International Students in the UK. So what happens if you don’t secure a COS? How do you feel about having to go back and starting from zero again?
@Tsarina_muna My reply was in reference to “benefits” which is usually tax credits or universal credit for low income earners. Unless you meant access to public funds.
@Symply_rhoda1 Yes no period pain. Guess what too? For some of us our period phase is 2-3 days (I would like to assume this is due to genetics, I stand to be corrected). Cycle syncing helps a lot with minimising period pain. Cheat code: slow down in your luteal phase
@jon_d_doe Don’t move to the West as a student if you can’t afford the fees by yourself. Even I as a home student in the UK, with no restrictions, I can barely do many hours at work. When are you going to find time to study or rest???
