@GWilson1281 This is something I never thought I'd have to announce so soon, but on August 13th after a brief battle with cancer (which he was winning, as it was shrinking) my father of 69 years old passed away as a result of an internal bleed due to various health issues.
He always had some smart ass witty comment to say and touched so many lives with his kindness, his sense of humour and through his music. He was well known in the Scottish music scene and around the clubs and I'm grateful to have so much music and funny memories growing up as a child. He was the best father I could ever have hoped for.
I keep looking at the door expecting him to come through saying something stupid, but I know he won't.
I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to @FloorJansen_ and @NightwishBand he was very fond of your music and it brought him comfort in the last few weeks when his health deteriorated.
I'm also immensely grateful to all this close friends who helped keep his spirits up or words of advice, support, jokes and words of kindness. You don't see much kindness in the world these days, but the messages of condolences and support I've been reading shows that maybe there's still some hope. Thank you!
His spirit never broke, his laughter and wise cracks is the last memory I have of him. You'll be deeply missed, but always loved. Rest well funny man
