An illegal Bangladeshi named Moshiur Khan was arrested in Kerala.

It is reported that he was allegedly residing and studying at the Shariathul Islam Madrasa in Kollam district.

A forged Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, and Ration card were recovered from him.

Admissions should never be granted without thorough identity and document verification, whether at a madrasa or any other educational or religious institution. A single lapse in verification can become a national security concern.

It is being claimed that Muslim congregational prayers at Hanumangarhi Temple never happened. That is incorrect.

In November 2003, the then Mahant of Hanumangarhi, Gyandas, organised an iftar gathering within the temple precincts as an initiative to promote communal harmony during a tense period in Ayodhya. Muslims were invited, and namaz was offered at his official residence located inside the Hanumangarhi complex. The gathering was attended by several prominent members of the Muslim community, including Hashim Ansari and other local religious leaders.

The initiative was repeated in 2004 but faced strong opposition. A civil suit was filed, arguing that such activities violated the temple’s by-laws. On 1 October 2004, the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Faizabad, passed an interim order prohibiting the organisation of iftar and the offering of namaz within the 52-bigha Hanumangarhi temple campus, holding that all activities within the complex must conform to the temple’s religious code and by-laws.

The sequence of events is therefore clear:

• 2003: Iftar was organised and namaz was offered within the Hanumangarhi complex.
• 2004: The practice was challenged in court.
• 1 October 2004: The Faizabad Civil Court barred iftar and namaz inside the temple premises.

Disagree with the decision to permit it if you wish. Support the court’s order if you wish. But do not deny documented history. Facts remain facts.

नवंबर 2003 में, अयोध्या के तनावपूर्ण माहौल के बीच सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द स्थापित करने के उद्देश्य से तत्कालीन महंत ज्ञानदास ने हनुमानगढ़ी परिसर में इफ़्तार का आयोजन किया। मुस्लिम समाज के लोगों को आमंत्रित किया गया और हनुमानगढ़ी परिसर के भीतर स्थित उनके आधिकारिक आवास पर नमाज़ अदा की गई। इस कार्यक्रम में बाबरी मस्जिद वाद के मूल पक्षकार हाशिम अंसारी सहित मुस्लिम समाज के कई प्रमुख लोग और स्थानीय धार्मिक नेता शामिल हुए।

2004 में भी इस पहल को दोहराया गया, लेकिन इसका व्यापक विरोध हुआ। यह कहते हुए दीवानी वाद दायर किया गया कि इस प्रकार की गतिविधियाँ मंदिर के उपविधियों (By-laws) का उल्लंघन हैं। इसके बाद 1 अक्टूबर 2004 को फैज़ाबाद के सिविल जज (सीनियर डिवीजन) ने अंतरिम आदेश पारित करते हुए हनुमानगढ़ी के 52 बीघा मंदिर परिसर में इफ़्तार आयोजन और नमाज़ अदा करने पर रोक लगा दी। न्यायालय ने स्पष्ट कहा कि मंदिर परिसर के भीतर होने वाली सभी गतिविधियाँ मंदिर की धार्मिक परंपराओं और उपविधियों के अनुरूप ही होनी चाहिए।

घटनाक्रम बिल्कुल स्पष्ट है—

• 2003: हनुमानगढ़ी परिसर में इफ़्तार आयोजित हुआ और नमाज़ अदा की गई।
• 2004: इस पर न्यायालय में चुनौती दी गई।
• 1 अक्टूबर 2004: फैज़ाबाद की अदालत ने मंदिर परिसर के भीतर इफ़्तार और नमाज़ पर रोक लगा दी।

आप उस समय लिए गए निर्णय से सहमत हों या असहमत, अदालत के आदेश का समर्थन करें या आलोचना, यह आपका अधिकार है।

लेकिन दस्तावेज़ों में दर्ज इतिहास से इनकार नहीं किया जा सकता।

तथ्य, आखिरकार, तथ्य ही रहते हैं।
