I don't know if it comes thru, but i designed the matscouts logo to subtly resemble two wrestlers shaking hands.
idk why i thought to mention it just now. budweiser, probably.
I wonder how many people have actually bought this pay-per-view today? Seriously, I wonder if it even breaks 5,000 buys in the U.S.
At one time I think #boxing fans accepted PPV events for the biggest and best fights. They understood it, if begrudgingly. But now it's completely watered down and it almost feels like they are exploiting the remaining hardcore fans
I really do think there are fans out there who aren't buying this out of sheer principle. I don't blame them. DAZN's original marketing pitch is among the most disastrous and dishonest Ive ever seen.
At least 'new' Coke was an honest mis-judgement and they quickly went back to the old formula

Kendall Holt took on Ricardo Torres in a rematch for the WBO title and it turned out to be one of the craziest 60 seconds of boxing that you will ever see.

Dexter Fowler was drafted out of high school in 2004—but promised his parents he'd finish his education.
He played 14 years in MLB, made over $100M, won a World Series, and owns two companies.
Now, 20 years later, Fowler is graduating from Penn State.

Is there a difference between being handicapped and compromised? Im seeing debate on this regarding Tank, Ryan and Haney from the two fights involving these guys
Ryan to me was compromised physically by the later weigh-in (3 pm), catch-weight and rehydration clause
Devin in my view was handicapped a bit by Garcia choosing not to make weight. But, he still had well ove 30 hours to replenish his body
We can argue the impact it had on these respective bouts. I would argue that they made some difference, the question is just how much?
Bottom line is everyone agreed to fight and those terms associated with it. And the result is the result. #boxing
Not a good night for Devin Haney & not a good one for Referee Harvey Dock. He impulsively took a point away from Garcia for hitting on break & NEVER took one away from Haney for holding (which partially caused Garcia's foul). And, I don't know any other way to put this, Dock bought Haney a lot of time to recover in round 7.
