She seems to be a level headed sensible girl who came from Haryana to join the protest but was pretty disillusioned looking at the scenario where Hindu deities, Hindus, RSS and BJP were being targeted by the leftist minds, getting rowdy and abusive. She tried to reason with a few but they would start heckling her and not debate or reason with her.

@MarutiCourier vry dissatisfied bcz of a rude employee @ lucknow hub my order has been returned. She asked my address, I said it should be written fearing a fraud that has recently happened. Rather than helping out she responded arrogantly and returned my order.

Can’t help but admire Jewish diaspora solidarity for Israel & Muslim diaspora solidarity for Palestine.

Hard to imagine Hindu diaspora giving as much en masse solidarity for India!

Personally I think this is partly due to both the Indian & Hindu identity not being at the forefront of…let’s call it an “identity stack” for a lot of the Indian/Hindu diaspora.

Usually at the top is stuff like “brown,” “South Asian,” sometimes their ethno-linguistic identity (Tamil, Punjabi, Bengali, etc…), and for some even their political identity - Liberal Democrat or Progressive Leftist.

Either that primary identity is aloof or ambivalent towards India or even possibly against it.

Either way, we have a long time to go before we see Indians/Hindus resigning from prestigious boards, instituting consequences for anti-Hindus, or even openly supporting pro-Indian state policies like Article 370, CAA, etc…

@vivekagnihotri Probably she is thinking of tragedies that happen in her own state. A number of cases go unreported. Back in 2016, when I was studying in Kolkata, a flyover collapsed, many have lost their lives. But the official data till date shows 27 deaths only! The people know the truth.
