I spent multiple hours today hand writing better CLAUDE․md/AGENTS․md and half a dozen skills. Audited and deleted a similar amount.
I'm sad to report it was 100% worth it.
The idea behind this X account is to be transparent and not talk only about the wins.
I launched my first SaaS, NodusVault, almost a week ago. So far, I have no customers. A few users have signed up, but I’m not sure whether they are actually using the product. I need to build something to monitor user activity.
How hard was it for you to get your first paying customer?
I used to build detailed upfront time plans around what the model quoted. Now I just give it a thin slice and measure what actually happens. Their day long estimates turning into 20 minutes burned me enough times.
Thinking about capping the active list. New idea only earns a slot if I kill or park an old one. Otherwise always looking for alternatives just means permanent WIP and a never ending projects list.
Been routing by task role instead of chasing the hype cycle. Draft / triage / verify each point at different backends. OpenAI-compatible gateways buy the optionality so the product does not need a rewrite every time I change models.
Was burning too much on one model for everything. Switched to letting OpenAI, Grok and Anthropic compete on price for each individual agent task in the platform. Down 88% per month now
