Mel Gibson speaks about the loss of his $14.5 million Malibu mansion in the devastating 2025 Palisades Fire:
"God GIVES, God TAKES AWAY. We enter with nothing. We leave with nothing. Seek first the kingdom of God; you'll always be alright."
MrBeast reveals the secret to getting millions of views on social media
“A big part of getting 100,000,000 views on a video is whether it’s something someone has seen before or not. There’s this analogy I like to use, if you’re driving down the road and see a cow, you’re probably not going to look at it. Who cares, you see them all the time. But if you’re driving down the road and see a purple cow you’re going to look like four times and remember it”
“It’s kind of the same way on social media. If you’re scrolling through videos and it’s something you’ve seen before it’s like seeing a regular cow. But if it’s a video you’ve never seen before, like putting a bunker underground and having two people live in it, that’s the equivalent of a purple cow on social media”
“Make your ideas the purple cow, don’t just be the cow”
I didn't see how Mel could get a whole feature film out of the resurrection, but if he's going all the way through Acts and beyond then this thing will be awesome. I've been waiting to see someone tell this story on film. Mel Gibson is the perfect guy for it.
MrBeast on taking photos with fans
“I always put myself in their shoes. This might be the only time in their life they’ll meet someone famous and they’re gonna remember this for the rest of their life”
“They’re not gonna think about it every day but they’ll occasionally think about it once or twice a year. ‘Oh that was the time I met that person’. Every time they watch your content, they’ll think of that interaction”
“So it’s very important, to us it’s like the 45,000th interaction. To them it’s 1 of 1. When I look at it that way, it makes me more present and I really try go above and beyond”
Smart phones really just ruined everything. People don’t even know how to sit still and think anymore, let alone pick up a book and read. Everyone is constantly overstimulated, addicted to the passive consumption of random bits of content streamed into their eyeballs at light speed. Kids are raised this way from birth. It’s unhuman. Disastrous for the mind and soul.
MrBeast explains why the education system is completely broken
“Why are students today being taught the same way their parents were? Look at how much everything else has advanced. When I was in school the teacher would just stand there, read out of a book and write on a whiteboard”
"Now look at Mark Rober’s videos. You can learn complex topics in 20 minutes in a way that’s engaging, fun and you retain it. Just because our parents were taught one way doesn’t mean we need to keep teaching that same way. It makes no sense to me, I think education should be reformed dramatically”
“Students spend so much time in school. If we had real courses made through videos, made learning more hands on and optimised everything with modern technology, kids could probably learn more in 5 hours than they currently do in 8 hours"
