IIRC all IPs were sequestered to their ready rooms awaiting orders to launch. Some did to relieve the alert birds.
One of the longest days of my life.
Never saw the TV coverage until the next day. Only time that EVERY cable channel had the same exact broadcast. On repeat.
I was repacking wheel bearings for a MHU-141 at Tyndall AFB. Dude walked in & said an airplane hit the WTC. I replied that if the other tower gets hit, it's not an accident. A minute later, 2nd tower was hit. Few minutes after, every FMC alert bird for SEAD launched full AB. 1/
I was on a couch in Clemson. Staying at my buddy's while I painted a mural. I had just woken to a bong rip when Tommy ran in... "Shelnutt turn on the f*king TV!!!"
Every channel had it. Chaos. Our world changed forever that day.
I. Will. Never. Forget. It.
Immediately went to THREATCON Delta
After the alert birds launched, we spent the next 18 hrs down downloading training munitions from the entire 325th FW fleet, over 60xF-15C/D, breaking out live -9s, -7s, -120s, & 20mm HE, & uploading all FMC birds. 2/
GM!
Spent the weekend in DC and got to see some really cool "behind the scenes" stuff.
However, my biggest takeaway from just being in our nation's capital city is:
The vast majority of people I encountered were Chinese, South Asian, and Middle Eastern.
Explains a lot.

What is this CRAP?!
This is an Honorable Man, a Marine Veteran, and great contributor to this community!
You need to fix this mass reporting bullshit that keeps targeting Patriots, and Second Amendment supporters.
Elon you said this was a platform of Free Speech, fix it!
Folks, please show your support for @Grunt2A and let’s get him back ASAP!
It's been awhile for a who we are, so lets do it. Roy, Agave and myself make up American Lictor. 3 guys trying to make something American.
When we first started off long before a company was decided we were buying samples from everywhere in the US that we could find. What we were looking for was a fully Made in the USA cotton shirt. We learned about the processes and what made them good, better and best. We tried different ones for a year or more before we ever started making images to print.
Then we learned about printing methods. Screen print, DTF, DTG. Trying to figure out what we were looking for. We settled on screen printing for quality and longevity of the print. Now to choose between plastisol and water based. We went water based because of the feel. After a few washes there isn't a feel. It is pushed into the fibers of the shirt. Plastisol is a PVC based ink and sits on top of the image which does tend to give you more vibrant colors but it makes the print locations not breathe. Similar to a DTF. DTG is very very pricey to get into right off the get go.
Having done none of this before we have learned through trial and error (Derelictors are a good example). You would think why didn't we try something simpler like a DTF as we build the brand. The simple answer was we wanted a great feeling shirt. What would have happened if we built from the ground up you never heard of us before and the first shirt you buy feels terrible. Cool I guess we got that 1 sale from you or maybe you don't really care. We probably care to much, loool. This also flows into our marketing style. Everything is so boring now days and for the most part doesn't feel genuine. Kinda like this big long wall of text right now. Knowing that wasn't gonna work for us so we just decided to be us. We make dumb memes, posts and videos. Won't be stopping anytime soon either.
Moving into a new shop and expanding our capabilities is just the next step in continuing to provide American made products.
That is who we are 3 Americans... could be more of us someday, who knows.
Happy Saturday, Noggers, cocoa enjoyers, and cider degenerates.
Celebrate and engage in our yearly conflict with vigor and good spirits.
Trophies of the day are mugs and frothy mustaches.
Did you know, cider drinkers perform the most lane changes without signal, per capita...
So many methods of attack!
Trying to forge WW1 trench thing from a single chunk is... very hard.
Aint no water jet nonsense in this ol shop lemme tell ya!
