CodeBlue estimates that the government can pay for doctors' on-call allowance raise, estimated by MOH to cost RM80 million/year, by cutting the pay and pension of current and retired lawmakers by half.

RM83.5 million/year can be generated from 50% cuts to the following:
🔵MPs' fixed monthly allowance of RM25,700
🔵Three monthly allowances for senators amounting to RM16,200, comprising basic (RM11,000), entertainment (RM2,000) and travel allowance, fuel, toll, driver (RM3,200)
🔵Existing pensions of retired members of the administration (including ministers & deputy ministers) and Members of Parliament (MPs & senators), estimated by MOF to cost RM85 million in 2025
