Clare hurler David Reidy has been released from hospital and is recovering well following the injury he sustained in yesterday’s game.
A huge thank you to the first responders and medical teams from @GaaClare and @DubGAAOfficial , as well as the staff at FBD Semple Stadium, for the outstanding care and attention provided.
Many thanks to all who have sent messages of support and well wishes to David.
Like everyone, hoping that David Reidy is doing well this morning.
Can’t understand some people using the incident as a way to have a pop at rival teams though.
Also agree with Brian Lohan about the importance of red cards for head contact incidents.

Congratulations to Loreto Gorey who defeated Piercestown 3-2 to take the Roinn B girls rounders title today. 7 more finals are down for decision this week.
A disappointing result for our senior footballers in Tullamore on Saturday, but some consolation for our captain Eoghan Nolan as he made the official Tailteann Cup Team of the Week.
Well done Eoghanie, and already looking forward to seeing more great stuff from you in a Wexford shirt next year!
Following our exit from the Tailteann Cup on Saturday, the stage is now set for our 2026 Club Championships to commence on the weekend of Friday June 26th to Sunday June 28th. Things will begin with two rounds of hurling, followed by two rounds of football.

Keith Rossiter has left his post as manager of the Wexford Senior Hurling Team
He took the job at a difficult time, & helped usher in a new Team
Every time we reached out, he was open, willing to talk & generous with his time. Thank you Keith.
A Wexford Legend 💜💛

CLG Loch Garman has today (Friday) announced that senior hurling manager Keith Rossiter has indicated he will not be seeking a fourth year in the role. The Oulart-The Ballagh clubman confirmed his decision during a meeting with County Chairperson John Kenny this morning.
Rossiter (42) served as senior manager during the 2024, 2025 and 2026 playing seasons. Prior to that, he was a coach under Davy Fitzgerald with the Wexford senior side from 2017 to 2021, and served as U20 manager during 2022 and 2023, leading his side to two Leinster Finals. Today’s announcement thus brings to an end a decade-long spell of unwavering dedication to Wexford hurling.
His ten years in managerial and key backroom roles followed a distinguished playing career. He first represented Wexford as a Minor in 2000, before making his senior debut in 2003 and continuing to represent his county until 2014. During that time, he helped Wexford to a Leinster Senior Hurling Championship title in 2004, and served as team captain for the 2006 season.
At club level, he helped Oulart-The Ballagh in winning ten Wexford Senior Hurling Championship titles, and also claimed a Leinster Senior Hurling Club Championship title in 2015.
Rossiter said his decision followed long and considerate discussions with his family and members of his managerial team. He thanked all who worked with him and supported him during his tenure.
Chairperson of CLG Loch Garman, John Kenny, reacted to the news by praising Rossiter for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment. He described him as ‘a true servant of Wexford hurling’ whose passion for the game and for the county was always evident.
‘On behalf of all in Wexford GAA, I sincerely thank Keith for the time, energy and effort he has invested over so many years, as player, coach, and manager,’ he said. ‘His commitment to Wexford cannot be doubted and he has made many personal sacrifices over so many years. He has represented Wexford with distinction and integrity both on and off the field, and I wish him and his family all the best for the future.’
The process to appoint a new senior hurling manager will now commence.
A great evening at the Wexford Poc Fada last night. Thanks to everyone who took part and made it such a success.
Congratulations to our champions:
U16 Winner: Tadhg Wyse (Horeswood)
Senior Winner: Adam Howlin (Shelmaliers)
Both players were presented with their trophies by Wexford GAA Head of Games, John Matthews and will now go on to represent Wexford at this year’s Leinster Poc Fada on June 27th at Mount Leinster.
Best of luck to Tadhg and Adam as they prepare for the provincial stage!
It’s Finals Week in the All County Hurling League
Our Seniors will compete in their 4th league final in 5 years on Sunday when they face St. Anne’s Rathangan
Also on Saturday evening, our Juniors in back-to-back final will compete in the Division 4 decider against Ballygarrett
In the history of the GAA, no team has ever beaten the same opponents in the league, provincial and All-Ireland finals.
Hasn’t happened in hurling or football ever before.
Could happen this year if Limerick and Cork meet in All-Ireland hurling final.
