This is a baby. A baby has a gunshot wound. And her family can’t afford to treat her because everything was taken away from them.
This is where they live now.
I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe!

For Sudanese people, The month of October 2024 has been the most violent since this disaster began, with over 20,171 people killed.
In one month. 20k+ people were murdered.
Where’s the outrage?
Talking to my mom about the # of posts I’ve seen of kids found lost to their families, there’s a whole generation of kids who will be missing possibly forever.
Mom: just like the generation of South Sudanese children separated/lost to their families.

Horrific reports emerging from #Sudan’s Aj Jazirah State.
Entire villages have reportedly been attacked, with civilians killed, detained and displaced on a huge scale.
18 months on, this war only grows more brutal. The parties and those with influence on them must end it now.
The scorched earth policy of the RSF in Al-Jazira is de-populating one of the most fertile areas on earth. The area was famous for having the largest naturally irrigated farming scheme in the world. It has been gutted and ransacked, and now they are ethnically cleansing by force.
Let this sink in. This past week, the RSF attacked 57 towns and villages in the east of Al-Jezira state. Hundreds are dead, and many are injured. Many are uprooted and on the move.
Local volunteers say at least 124 civilians were massacred in the farming village of Al Sireiha in the eastern parts of Sudan’s Al Jazira state.
The attacks come after the RSF’s most senior commander in Al Jazira defected to the army.

THERE IS A MASS-MURDER CAMPAIGN OF COMPLETE EXTERMINATION OF SUDANESE RESIDENTS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW AND THE ONLY PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT IT ARE THE PEOPLE EXPERIENCING IT ‼️
THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR LETTING IT GET THIS FAR AND THIS MUCH PEOPLE ARE MURDERED AND RAPED.
A video reportedly showing the victims of an RSF massacre in Al-Jazira.
The days that followed the defection of senior RSF commander Keikal to SAF have been marked by horror stories of an RSF retaliatory rampage on civilians.
Military gains do not equal civilian safety.
Another video shows crops burning in the distance.
October is the month of harvest in Sudan, with millions currently on the verge of famine.
This is an atrocity.

About the novel: "Set in the fictional border town named Saraaya, five protagonists from different walks of life share life in a compound until political uncertainty and senseless violence disrupt their fragile harmony. The anchoring characters are Dena, a Sudanese-American documentary filmmaker accustomed to long, solitary jaunts in the region, and William, the talented and compassionate translator of Nilotic descent who is working for the white American mapmaker, Alex. The cook, Layla, from a nearby village, and Mustafa, the 12-year-old cleaner, keep the home running smoothly. When a burnt corpse shows up in town, pulses quicken, priorities shift and the characters are all forced to reckon with their own agendas and ambitions."
