@GernaderJake I love tribute. I love having objective based game modes for banner that aren't just a kill fest. I feel the issues with match making and few other issues just make players hate these modes even more than they should.
@Protheon_ @Average_Goose Why is it almost every time a character goes through repeated tragedy they are whiney for being upset about those experiences? Seems like a normal reaction to that level of pain. Especially given this particular character
The more I do it, the more I realize I don’t have any great advice about game development…but here’s a thing.
You’re right about your boss being an idiot.
@Edweirdo_E I imagine when this end drake dissapears from the public eye for a few years and like Louis C.K starts touring again like nothing happened.
...I wish he would just dissappear though.
Hey, this was going well but since this post went a bit viral and reached the wrong audience, some clarifications/reminders about me and a couple other things I wanna point out! (Long post)
No I will not shut up, toxic comments will not stop me.
No I’m not ruining the game (no single person posting opinions can do that).
No I do not want the game to be harder and I rarely discuss difficulty (usually just for Day 1s and recently for Pantheon)
I was actively and strongly against the baseline difficulty increases in Lightfall and I would like them reverted. I’m not trying to go into a -15 Patrol in TFS lol, if needed they could add World Tiers.
No, I do not hate casual player or people with a job (why do I even have to say this lol).
If you ever stop by my stream you will see that I’ll welcome you and try to help with your questions no matter how unexperienced you are.
I would actually like for the game to get easier at it’s baseline and I would love for even easier difficulty options to be implemented where needed, together with a better new player experience.
I would also like to have harder difficulty options, keyword OPTIONS, but that’s not a priority. I would be happy with just Contest raids being available at all times in the game tbh.
Should go without saying, but I don’t pretend to be always right with my analysis or suggestions, and I never will.
Yes, I do have a lot of experience with D2, but that doesn’t mean too much. I often change my mind on suggestions after having discussions about it, and I’m often blown away by how clever some ideas from the community are. This is part of why I post.
I do not think my takes should matter more cause I’m a WF Raider, that is just an assumption people make to hate. I simply give my perspective. Everyone’s feedback is equally as valuable. Yes, some specific balancing feedback does benefit from deeper game knowledge, but that’s about it.
No I do not give feedback that would help my team win Day 1s (how would that even be possible lol). Drastic changes are the worst thing that could happen to us since we are clearly very good in this Well meta, I just want the best for the game.
I always give suggestions with all players in mind, or at least that’s what I try to do. I was a pretty casual and not so great player for a while, struggling to Raid, and I have plenty of lfg experience, which gives me a decent understanding of how players of different skill and commitment operate, but ultimately what I post will simply be my OPINION, I could be wrong, I could be right, who knows, just know that the intention is usually the enjoyment of the majority.
I’m sure I sometimes fail to see the bigger picture, same way as often people reading my takes fail to see my intentions, that’s fine, we are just humans.
Bungie does NOT, rightfully so, mindlessly implement changes due to me asking for them (this should also go without saying since ~90% of the things I suggest never make it into the game and I would say Destiny has been going pretty much in the opposite direction I would have liked it to go since Season of the Haunted, but yeah). If you notice any change happening shortly after me suggesting it, that’s likely cause I have a good understanding of the current issues, and often so does Bungie.
I also wanna point this out since people often ask me: “what would you do if you had full freedom with D2’s sandbox?” Short answer is: I wouldn’t want it. No single person can “balance” a game like Destiny and you need a team of different individuals of different skill levels and experiences, keeping each other ideas in check. Which is why, if I post something here, it’s just an idea. It could be the smartest thing ever or it could be some something stupid, deciding that is what civil conversations should be for.
No Div did not get nerfed thanks to me, if you think so you are delusional. The nerf was teased a month before my tweet and my proposed nerf was different and more harsh.
Also worth noting, Div is still S tier, and the nerf did basically nothing to it’s viability. The main reason it’s used less is linears being nerfed and the meta being rockets and gls.
Regarding the DR changes mentioned in the post, my favorite Destiny 2 expansions are Forsaken and Witch Queen (and I know I’m not alone in that), and those were 2 releases where we had some of the lowest DR ever in the game, so let’s not act like the changes would destroy the game.
I would be in favor of most if not all activities losing Threats modifiers to offset this, or even lower the Power level if needed somewhere. Reason I say this is because the goal is NOT to make the game harder. Extreme example: if we need to have it, I would rather the 30% DR to be intrinsic than to be tied to resil, even if that makes the game easier. At least with that we can actually build on other stats, get it?
Ultimately the game right now has this problem. Some endgame, especially GMs, does too much damage and feels miserable unless you hard stack DR and healing, which isn’t fun. The base game, like for example normal mode dungeons, has this weird limbo where they are almost overtuned when running no DR, but if you stack high DR you legit cannot die. Final encounter on Ghost of the Deep being the biggest offender, since to go get the Deepsight you either gotta invis or proc resto or get Woven etc. We desperately need DR to be tuned down so that activities can start being balanced around lower DR, and we are able to play them with any build without feeling at a big disadvantage.
My goal when you see one my balancing posts will likely be build variety. If you think I’m suggesting something to make the game harder, think again, or ask, you are probably wrong, at least in the intention.
It’s I wanted to make an activity harder (which again I rarely care about) I would simply ask for an higher power penalty delta or more complex mechanics/timers. Asking for nerfs to make the game harder, especially when talking endgame, does not make too much sense, and neither I care about it (most of the time, there can be exceptions ofc).
Ultimately I know many people will still keep hating on me for no reason and this post won’t change anything for them, cause they weren’t reading and trying to see what I had to say to begin with, but I hope this can at least help combat some misinformation about me, since I’ve been noticing this phenomenon quite a bit lately and it fuels the fire.
There is like an army of people blatantly lying about me and things I allegedly ask/asked for, with very bad takes ofc, and that makes people dislike me before they even hear what I truly have to say.
I saw someone post on Reddit that I want Bungie to remove Exotics form the Season Pass, and everyone calling me an elitist below, like BRO WHAT🤣.
Well that’s all. I will not stop commenting the game and giving feedback cause I love Destiny and want it to improve. If you disagree, that is FINE! Do it respectfully.
If you see someone spreading lies about me, you can redirect them to this post, I tried to go over most things. I know I didn’t address many common bad takes or assumptions about me, but some are too silly to even reply and the post is already way too long.
Thanks for reading if anyone got to the end and see you around!
Breaking >> The unionization wave continues as workers at the Barnes & Noble on the Upper West Side of Manhattan vote overwhelmingly -- 34 to 6 -- in favor of unionizing with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union. It's the seventh Barnes & Noble store to unionize.
Any magic players who only follow me on Twitter. I switched to threads. Gonna delete this app because the bot follow spams are just annoying and my feed keeps getting filled with alt right bullshit I don't care to engage with.
Intoxicating hemp products are marketed to kids and are made to look like their favorite candy and treats. With no regulation and wide availability, it is all too easy for kids to get them. The current loophole that allows these products to be sold to children must be closed as soon as possible. https://t.co/vCIMo5MIsU
