@elonmusk The mob has never lost its voice. You just like to provoke it. Humanity has journalism because it's learned lay people rarely do their homework before shouting. And, history has ample examples of disastrous consequences. You're not changing anything here, just boring.
Sorry @LindseyGrahamSC even the GOP stacked SCOTUS agrees the Speech and Debate Clause doesn’t mean Senators can avoid answering questions about crimes they may have committed.
@NameNotPublic@tsojin_@farrellbruce2@RBReich The adaptable mindset? I'm not a financial advisor. But, prospectus and shareholder calls usually call out risk of government regulation. I'd pay attention and chose another industry, even if I liked the dividends.
Everything on the President's list sounds like it should be done
@cscottrun4it@sjc6254 @nathaliejacoby1 Indeed. If see-serving politicians didn’t stack districts and state houses, 66% could do pretty much anything they want. 2/3 is Constitutionally a magic number for things, and the reason the two party adherents resist coalition style governance in USA.
@xchinoiii@sjc6254 @nathaliejacoby1 And a significant one.
I laugh (or cry) when US Politicians and their stans claim 50.00001% (or less) of the vote means voters gave them a MANDATE. Nope, that’s a toss up.
@dramaqueenmama @sjc6254@polly_strife @nathaliejacoby1 I agree with you, even as man. Since the right to abortion wasn’t given to the federal government nor to the states it must reside with the people. Women are the only people I know who can give birth so yep agreed it’s up to them to retain. I oppose those who get in their way.
@tsojin_@NameNotPublic@farrellbruce2@RBReich The companies are deciding to keep more profits. Shell could invest in refinement rather than buy back shares to make investors happy (except at the pump) while keeping prices high. Other costs aren't exactly fixed (e.g. cost of labor can change) but you're right not as quickly.
@latxglv@NameNotPublic@farrellbruce2@RBReich Thanks @latxglv, I wish the statsitica article above had an actual cost breakdown I could see. Your article places the increased costs for gasoline on a reduced supply due to a profit-driven closures plus the destruction of the plant. Pain of reduced profits vs pain at the pump.
@trylovingmore22 @GenX4Hill @happycrazytown@RepMTG Ever heard of quarantine. Cover your eyes: that’s legal, responsible, conscionable segregation based on medical status. 😱 Almost nobody wants a new student/hire with a highly infectious disease seated next to them.
@trylovingmore22 @GenX4Hill @happycrazytown@RepMTG Vaccination status is not a protected medical class. Perhaps it should be, but it’s ignoring vaccination requirements is not a right today, so it can’t be attacked as such. The SCOTUS already decided that vaccine requirements are legal under the US Constitution.
@trylovingmore22 @GenX4Hill @happycrazytown@RepMTG Wrong again. Can you comprehend:
1. This is not a right, you have choices.
2. No one prevented discussion about vaccines and side effects.
3. Again, not a right. Maybe a liberty Americans had before other sovereign nations pass new restrictions, but that’s THEIR right.
Got it?
