How the Aspiration-Kawhi contract happened, according to NBA report:

A top Clippers executive helped facilitate and manage an Aspiration endorsement deal for Leonard. It was explicitly tied to sustainability services contract for Aspiration for The Forum. Aspiration co-founder asked for business back from the Clippers to match Kawhi endorsement deal. Their contract would have Clippers pay Aspiration for work on The Forum and initially had no details on what specifics Aspiration would provide. Leonard was paid $7 million annually.
