🇦🇱 On July 12, Cheonmyeong Worship was held as a special offering of devotion for Dr. Hak Ja Han, affectionately called True Mother.

🎶🙌 Through praise and worship, members shared the heart of God, the Heavenly Parent, and felt closer to the heart of True Mother.

🎤 Balkan Regional Director Gani Rroshi delivered a meaningful message about becoming the “small needles” of True Parents and living a life of attending Heavenly Parent.

🤲 It was a blessed time filled with gratitude, tears, and deep devotion.

Opponents of the Unification Church in Japan have long tied the term "spiritual sales" to fraud.

Yet not a single case has ever been prosecuted and convicted as criminal fraud.

Tanaka Tomihiro, president of the Unification Church (now the Family Federation), warns that to dismiss the spiritual efficacy sellers described as falsehood, and then to conclude that the buyers who believed it "had fallen into error," is "extremely dangerous."

An argument built on the outright denial of the spirit world and spiritual efficacy, he said, is no way to engage with the people who have believed in them.

Court Extends Suspension of Detention for Dr. Hak Ja Han Once Again — Until September 2

According to legal sources on the 30th, the Seoul Central District Court on the 29th further extended the suspension of detention for Dr. Hak Ja Han.

Her side applied for the extension on the 28th, citing difficulties in detention life stemming from incomplete recovery after shoulder fracture surgery and ongoing vision problems. The court granted the request.

As a result, the temporary release period, originally set to expire at 2 p.m. on July 31, has been extended until 6 p.m. on September 2.

At 83 years of age, Dr. Han is reported to be experiencing lingering effects from the shoulder surgery that continue to hinder her daily life.

Her side also maintains that progressive vision deterioration requires sustained medical treatment and monitoring in a hospital setting.

All previous suspensions of detention have likewise been granted primarily on health grounds.

Given her advanced age, a swift recovery is sincerely hoped for.

A Shocking True Story.
"The Brand" ― American Society and One Religious Leader (by Dylan Otsuki)

A book about the American trial has now been published in Japan.

In 1982, a religious leader was sentenced to prison in the United States for tax evasion.

His name was Rev.Sun Myung Moon. Born in Korea, he had already become a highly visible in America.

He could have left the country and avoided prison.
Instead, he chose to stay, and walked into Danbury Federal Prison in Connecticut himself.

Why didn’t he run?

This book takes that question as its starting point. It carefully follows the course of the trial, the background of the indictment, and the political and media climate of the time, staying close to the facts.

His imprisonment sent a shock through religious leaders across the United States. Pastors who had been divided came together and took to the streets in protest.

Forty-four years later, the question still lingers.
