@Ryosuke91kc @geoffkeighley While Sandfall is a small studio, and e33 was their debut game, an indie game is by definition “a videogame created by individuals or smaller development teams without the financial and technical support of a large game publisher”. They had both funding and a pretty big publisher

@Ryosuke91kc @geoffkeighley while best art direction and best game direction are mostly subjective (they’re both great don’t get me wrong, imo there were better candidates), it shouldn’t have won best rpg and the two indie awards, it’s not an indie game, and the rpg mechanics were the “weak” parts of e33
