@Yamiche Reading this quote I’m struck again by how #Trump really ruined the exclamation point. I can’t use it without reading whatever I’ve written in his voice. It’s cringe inducing!
@NYMag You misunderstood the congresswoman; she wasn’t saying that Jews owned the laser or it was a part of a Jewish plot, but rather that the laser identifies as Jewish.
@JasonLett @GreatrixBrad@peterliem Ha! If only! As @peterliem wrote, in Champagne, the character found in the vin clair will be magnified after secondary fermentation. Flaws will be more pronounced and the intrinsic character of the still wine will accentuated, rather than diminished, by the process.
@GreatrixBrad @JasonLett @peterliem This would be a very interesting conversation to hear. A wine from the Côte is certainly a “terroir wine” even if the materiel comes from dif villages with varying indiv. chars. An NV wine can show terroir and a lieu dit wine can. Process accentuates rather than obscures.
Agriculture Secretary-designate Tom Vilsack commits to Black farmer advocates that he will ensure “fairness and equity” for African-American farmers https://t.co/Lu3sZndIn2
Call for Vilsack #agsec to reaffirm the indep. of ERS; said has been “eroded by inappropriate intervention by offices within USDA” by Trump admin. - didn’t like published research - how farmers had been affected by Trump’s trade wars & tax policies, & other sensitive issues.
Interesting piece on USDA in the new administration
"Biden and his nominee for Agriculture secretary, Tom Vilsack, appear to have few options for quickly undoing steep damage to the agencies’ manpower, morale and productivity."
