@TomLondon6@TheGreenParty "Zionism is racism" doesn't speak to the problem of Israel's racist treatment of West Bank Palestinians. Rather, it seeks to undermine the legitimacy of a sovereign nation and full UN member--something no Party has the authority to do.

@estherzelda0514 A few years back I wrote a novel about the world ending because a grimy little lab scientist refused to wash his hands after urinating. Gotta dig that manuscript out and publish it.
@BeefExtra I don't think anyone expects that, including the significant proportion of Palestinians and Israelis who, despite this horrific war, favor a two-state solution.
@nick24005652@mdubowitz The only country to use nuclear weapons in anger did so without an existential threat. And that was of course the good ol’ USA.
@estherzelda0514 I won't engage with the term as it's being used by the Western pro-Palestine movement in reference to the current conflict. At the same time, I can't fault actual Palestinians for using Zionism/Zionist this way.
@estherzelda0514 It's definitely a double standard. It's also a deliberate political strategy designed stoke latent antisemitism, root the conversation in 1948, and bully people into an anti-Israel stance. Humanitarianism is an afterthought.
