An unpopular opinion but the drama between the Pac-12 Schools seems to hinge on a belief from WSU and OSU that the other 10 schools should not have done what was best for themselves and rather should have done what was best for OSU and WSU (stay in the Pac-12 so that OSU and WSU could still be in a premier conference).

No one is stopping WSU and OSU from joining a conference like the Mountain West or AAC.

WSU and OSU are pretending that they are taking the higher ground but in reality they are just chasing money the same way the other 10 schools did. If they had been invited to the Big-12 they would have gone but they weren’t so now they are trying to keep the PAC-12 financial resources for themselves.
