An extremely heartbreaking piece of news for the world of anime and manga when Akira Toriyama, author of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, Sand Land, etc., passed away at the age of 68. Toriyama's legacy for with the anime community is immeasurable, because the world he created has been associated with the childhood of many wibu brothers who love the Z-Fighters genre in particular and the anime world in general. Currently, the official Dragon Ball website has also announced Toriyama's departure.
Akira Toriyama was born in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan in 1955. He first introduced Dragon Ball to the world in 1984, with the story of Goku and his friends. The series later became one of the biggest anime works of all time. Toriyama continues to work on the franchise to this day, continuing to release manga and especially the recent film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Therefore, Toriyama's influence on the anime world cannot be underestimated and his passing is a huge loss to the world.
