IAS leadership and members including several Inflammation Academy fellows participated in the Open Medical Institute of Mexico's seminar on "Lipid Metabolism, Diabetes and Obesity" last week.

The seminar was led by IAS' Jessica Peña, MD, MPH, with faculty support from Roopa Mehta, MD, PhD (@roopamehta2); Ada Cuevas, MD, MSc (@dra_adacuevas); Alan Brown, MD, MHA, and others. The program covered fundamental concepts in lipid metabolism, genetic dyslipidemias, diabetes, and obesity, along with the latest developments in pharmacotherapy and real-world implementation of care models for individuals with diabetes.

Thank you OMI for the opportunity to be engaged in such an important initiative. Connecting international experts with early career physicians will continue to deepen clinical knowledge, spark collaboration and drive continuous improvements in patient care in countries around the world.
