Prop 34 passed!

Rent control is no longer an ongoing concern in CA.

That’s right, not only did rent control fail (again) by 20 points (via Prop 33)…

Voters passed an initiative (Prop 34) that will prevent it from appearing on the ballot again.

One more note on GSEs this time around. Following the letter agreement in January 2021 @FannieMae and @FreddieMac have been able to retain earnings resulting in an aggregate of close to $150B. This simplifies the recapitalization issue tremendously.
