A QUICK UPDATES ON FG NEWLY LAUNCHED FreeTV

In respect of my post this morning on the above subject, here are the quick updates for further clarifications and to reduce our curiosity on what we need to know about the usage.

There are three (ways) to watch FreeTV and they're as follows:

1. Satellite (DTH)
Users with DVB-S2 satellite-enabled TVs or free-to-air satellite receivers can connect directly to the NigComSat platform.

2. Terrestrial Television
If your TV supports DVB-T2 digital terrestrial broadcasting, you can receive FreeTV channels through terrestrial transmitters.

3. Mobile Application
The FreeTV mobile application is available on Android devices through the Google Play Store for download and install.

In Summary:
- FreeTV will be available through satellite, terrestrial broadcasting and mobile access nationwide.

What If You Have an Old Analogue TV?

You do not need to throw away your television.

You only need:
- A basic DVB-T2 set-top box, or
- A DVB-S2 satellite receiver

These devices convert digital signals into a format older TVs can display.

Importantly, the old encrypted DSO boxes are not mandatory.....
